Most retailers perceive video surveillance systems solely as a means of security. However, our project “Photo Reports” proves that existing cameras can become the “eyes” of top management and a powerful tool for optimizing business processes.
A year ago, at the request of our customer of the Chudo-Market supermarket chain, we began the development of the project “Photo Reports”, which was supposed to solve a key problem: how to use existing cameras for operational control of the business.
The system allows you to automatically take pictures from cameras on a set schedule and save them in structured folders in the cloud environment for further analysis. This creates a single database of visual data available for control and management decision making.
The customer does not need to invest in expensive equipment. Developed by VERNA specialists, the software integrates with the already installed security cameras of the store and makes the control process convenient and mobile.
Allows you to view reports in a convenient format — through a browser on your desktop or in a special interface on your smartphone.
The system implemented in the Miracle Market is integrated with Telegram, with the ability to connect other messengers. The necessary photos are automatically sent to the closed groups of the messenger. This allows you to quickly respond to the situation in the store right “on the go”.
All screenshots are organized by folders (store/area/showcase) and are archived in the cloud.
The customer also has the opportunity to instantly get the current photo of the showcase in one click.

The project brought together the interests of different levels of management and is used by supermarket administrators, regional managers, heads of the operations department and the commercial department to control the availability of goods on the shelves, according to the analysis of customer traffic.
The system provides flexible settings of access rights - each user sees only those folders and data that belong to his area of responsibility.
• Availability of goods
Do not the shelves remain empty?
• Quality of teaching
Does the product presentation meet network standards?
• Traffic analysis
The ratio of the flow of buyers and occupancy.
Thanks to the introduction of “Photo Reports”, our client — the “Chudo-Market” network — managed to transform the operation of the entire network of supermarkets and move from control to profit.
“As a result of the implementation, real weaknesses in shopping complexes were identified, production processes were optimized, in particular in the bakery and grill departments.
Adjusted work schedules for actual traffic that previously did not display full potential due to underfilled storefronts.
Revised processes in the self-service areas with the return of staff to the contact departments of the bakery, which led to an increase in sales.
We also optimized the teaching time for all categories of Fresh.
We have improved production planning — now we have less underproduction and overproduction.”
