Brocard Ukraine
VERNA has completed the project of deploying a modern and high-speed Wi-Fi network based on Aruba equipment for the largest perfume and cosmetics network in the luxury segment BROCARD in Ukraine. This project was an important step in improving the infrastructure, improving the level of customer service and organizing the work of employees for the customer.
The introduction of a modern and high-speed Wi-Fi network continues the successful history of cooperation between VERNA and Brocard, which has lasted for 12 years!
During this time, we have carried out a number of major and important projects on the creation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, implementation of an IP video surveillance system with video analytics capability, support and service of video surveillance system, network and IT equipment.
At the beginning of 2024, the IT integrator VERNA implemented Wi-Fi networks in 42 BROCARD stores. This was the second stage of the project; the first stage, involving the deployment of Wi-Fi networks in 27 stores and the company warehouse, took place in 2021.
This project made it possible to build a reliable solution that works seamlessly in different locations with the possibility of centralized management and monitoring.
For the implementation of the IT network, The IT department of Brocard-Ukraine selected equipment and software from the leading manufacturer Aruba. In particular, 4 different models of Aruba access points were used to create a Wi-Fi network. Aruba Wi-Fi access points were connected to the customer's existing network infrastructure.
Aruba AirWave software was used to manage and monitor the network, which enables centralized management and monitoring of the network across all locations. It is designed to manage wired and wireless networks from different providers. The system allows IT personnel to monitor the status and load of infrastructure components: access points, controllers and switches, configure existing devices and add new ones. AirWave also allows you to receive information about users connected to the network, collect statistics on their actions and traffic.
The Wi-Fi network built on this technology has a high degree of performance and fault tolerance. And the centralized management and monitoring system does not use a central controller, which significantly reduces capital costs for project implementation, and also makes life easier for employees of Brocard-Ukraine.
Employees can perform their work efficiently through the use of mobile data collection terminals and other devices. Customers can conveniently use the Wi-Fi network to make payments or access additional information via the Conectiko captive portal, even in the absence of mobile coverage.
The project covered BROCARD warehouses and stores in 22 cities of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and others.
Brocard-Ukraine is the largest perfumery and cosmetic chain in Ukraine in the luxury segment. As of the beginning of 2024, it has 70 stores in 22 cities of Ukraine and serves 1'900'000 regular customers. Brocard offers products from more than 350 famous world brands, such as Chanel, Dior, Lancôme and others. It has 25,000 certificates of conformity — for all products in the network, each of which is guaranteed to be of high quality and original.
Since February 2022, BROCARD has been actively working to bring our Victory closer. Brocard-Ukraine has transferred 200 million UAH in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company is actively involved in humanitarian projects and cooperates with charitable foundations. The contribution of Brocard-Ukraine plays a vital role in Ukraine’s economic development and support — during the two years of the war, the BROCARD group of companies paid taxes in the amount of UAH 1263 million.
