VERNA implemented a project to implement a video surveillance system on agricultural machinery in order to provide online and offline video monitoring and control of equipment, performance of work (harvesting, etc.) and preservation of material and technical values for the leading agribusiness operator Traygon Farming.
The combines have 2-3 cameras directed in different directions — forward, on the grain unloading system and on the fuel tank.
The system records a video archive to a solid-state drive installed in the DVR, and simultaneously transmits the video stream in real time through the mobile operator to the cloud storage.
In the absence of mobile Internet, information is temporarily stored only on the DVR disk, and after the connection is restored, the archive is automatically synchronized with the cloud. If the mobile connection is missing or unstable for a long time, the system allows you to automatically transfer the accumulated data to the cloud via Wi-Fi after returning the combine to the parking lot at the end of the working day.
• 3G module for data transfer via mobile network
• Wi-Fi module for backup data communication
• IP-cameras
• IR-NVR for recording and creating an archive
• System backup power supply for 40-60 minutes
• Vandal-proof cabinet
The system provides full online and offline control over the operation of agricultural machinery and the execution of technological processes.
Online video monitoring allows you to access images from cameras in real time via smartphone, tablet or computer from anywhere in the world. At the same time, the video archive is stored on the media, which allows you to view the recordings offline at any convenient time.
Thanks to remote access to the NVR, responsible persons can control key stages of logistics — transportation, loading, unloading of products, as well as the operation of specific equipment, in particular sprayers and combines. For example, in a project to control the unloading of wheat from a combine, video fixation allows you to quickly check the correctness of the work, identify violations, prevent crop losses, and analyze the actions of personnel.
The system helps not only to respond to incidents, but also to prevent equipment misuse and unauthorized use. In the case of controversial situations or internal investigations, the video archive acts as a reliable source of objective evidence.
• Centralized IP-SVN — dozens of NVRs are connected to the central server, providing a unified infrastructure for storing and processing video data.
• The formation of a central archive is carried out from all registrars using smart synchronization. In the event that the equipment is turned off or outside the mobile coverage area, the archived data is already available on a central server for analysis and investigation of incidents.
• The central archive is implemented with an interactive timeline and calendar — records are stored in the form of archive fragments obtained by backup, which allows you to quickly find the necessary events.
The system is implemented in such a way that the automatic reloading of the video archive starts from the moment of loss of connection, and not from the beginning of the file. This avoids duplication of data, saves network resource and ensures the integrity of the archive.
Instead of a chaotic set of archive fragments created by backup, a structured central archive has been implemented. It implements convenient navigation using an interactive timeline and calendar, which greatly simplifies the search for events and the analysis of video information.
• Switching between mobile channels and Wi-Fi on bases — the system automatically switches the equipment between mobile channels (using a second operator) and Wi-Fi networks on the bases, regardless of which base the equipment arrived at.
• Use of omnidirectional antennas — specialized equipment is used to amplify the signal of the mobile operator, which improves the connection in conditions of limited coverage.
• Building VPN channels — creating secure VPN channels allows you to bypass the need to break ports and avoid additional costs for the provider's “white” IP addresses, which optimizes connection costs.
• Transfer of access rights to devices — convenient and secure control of access to devices using a centralized system.
• Monitoring the “health” of connected devices — constant monitoring of the status of cameras, hard drives and other devices to ensure their smooth operation.
• Reports on the “health” of each registrar for the period — automatic generation of reports providing detailed information about the status of each device for the selected period.
• Automatic backup of registrar configurations — regular backups of registrar settings to restore if necessary.
Cloud Connect – P2P access to remote video recorders — providing a secure connection to remote devices without the need to use public IP addresses.
• Connection to remote registrars without a white IP address — the ability to connect pre-registrars without additional costs for public IP addresses, which optimizes infrastructure costs.
A centralized IP-SVN was built with the formation of two archives: central and local - registrars on the equipment.
Implemented “smart” archive synchronization between servers to ensure the relevance and integrity of data.
Organization of mobile communication channels to ensure stable communication between devices.
Configured automatic switching to backup communication channels in the absence of a main connection.
Implemented monitoring of the “health” of the SVN for the timely detection of technical malfunctions.
A system of data collection and analysis has been built, which makes it possible to generate reports on the operation of equipment and the execution of agrotechnological operations.
Mechanisms to prevent unintended use of transport by organized monitoring of its movements and use have been implemented.
Control of transport processes, including transportation, loading and unloading of materials, is provided.
Implemented control of refueling and draining of fuel in order to reduce costs and prevent theft.
Protection of equipment and equipment from intentional or unintentional damage is carried out.
Provision of operational information on the situation on the road has been established to improve traffic safety and optimize routes.
