Environment parameters monitoring system in Data Center is constructed by VERNA’s specialists in several stages:

  • Determination of environment parameters in Data Center, change of which to particular extent and with particular velocity is crucial for the Customer’s IT system and business processes performance. For example: smoke (fire), (water) leakage, rapid temperature increase at stoppage of conditioning and cooling system, termination of power supply etc. 
  • Defining mechanisms of notification and alert of duty staff responsible for Data Center operation. For example: notification of problem can be performed in various forms: from simple panel with sound-and-light alarm to e–mail or SMS !! to previously stipulated addressees (GSM operators do not guarantee on-time message delivery);
  • Solution design, selection of equipment and software, defining place of equipment, sensors location etc.;
  • Installation, calibration, testing and putting in commission;
  • Maintenance and service support.

Offered Solutions:

Monitoring and notification system for small server rooms and switch nodes. Hardware complex developed by VERNA’s specialists, of minimal cost, includes a number of sensors, control system (microcontroller) and notification panel.  Temperature, humidity, water leakage, voltage sensors ets. are placed into wiring closets (racks) and selected points of premises. They connect to control system which is a programmed microcontroller. Sensors are set for critical threshold values of controlled parameters and if they exceed the limit send signals to the control system.  Signals arriving from sensors at the control system are displayed on the notification panel, start up light and sound indication of excess of set parameters threshold values. Notification panel is situated in the room with constantly present staff (duty administrator, security etc.). A key is provided for temporary deactivation of sound alarm. Duty telephones are indicated on the panel for contacting employees responsible for Data Center operation.

АРС NetBotz monitoring system. Presents solution for active control providing protection from physical threats connected with environment and human factor which may cause performance interruption or idle hours of IT infrastructure. This scalable pack of network services, sensors, access controllers and security cameras is designed for security of environments of different scales – from switchboard cabinets to data processing centers. Module construction allows to implement similar sensors in NetBotz system.  Beside APC components VERNA projects involve various electric and electromechanical sensors, stop valves, electric and electro-magnetic valves of external famous manufacturers such as Pfannenberg etc. Customizable additional notification signals can be sent in various formats, and easily integrated into events transfer policy to a higher level. АРС  InfraStruXureŽ Central server is used for managing several NetBotz devices. InfraStruXure Central Surveillance licences provide such options as viewing images from several cameras on one display, quick search and import of video records, “mark” task for important fragments, other services for monitoring.
